English Learning Goals

1. 독해 능력 향상 Improve Reading Comprehension

- 학생들은 매일 트윈클 워크북을 사용하여 정보를 찾고

다양한 질문에 답함으로써 독해 능력을

기릅니다.

- Students develop their reading comprehension

skills as they practice locating information and

answering various types of questions in a workbook

adapted to their level almost every day.

2. 문법 기초 확립 Establish Basic Grammar

유치부 학생들은 문장 구조와 유창성을 높이기 위해 기본 문법을

배우고 복습합니다.

Kindy students review, and learn depending on the lesson, how to use the Basic English mechanics to

improve their sentence structure and fluency. The workbook used is adapted to their level, and ensures

that they have the necessary grammar knowledge to later join our elementary program.

3. 소설 분석 및 응답 능력 강화 Strengthen Novel Analysis and Response

학생들은 소설을 통해 문해력을 향상시키고,

긴 질문에 전체 문장으로 답하는 연습을 합니다.

Through novels, students improve their literacy, and analyze elements to practice inferring. They also learn how to answer longer questions in full sentences, and to locate information in chapter books.

4. 이야기 쓰기 기술 개발 Develop Story Writing Skills

학생들은 이야기 쓰기의 기본을 배우고, 동의어와 일관된 이야기 만들기를 연습합니다. Using the workbook developed by Twinkle’s CEO Brian Park, students learn the basics of story writing,

and practice various elements to improve their work. It is in this section that students learn synonyms of

common adjectives, and practice crafting coherent stories.

5. 창의적 글쓰기 촉진 Promote Creative Writing

학생들은 상상력을 발휘하고, 자신만의 캐릭터를 발전시키는 연습을 합니다.

While still focusing on writing stories, this part of the curriculum allows students to dive deeper in their

imagination since the assignments’ instructions give them more creative freedom. Students learn the

basics of planning, and develop characters of their own.

6. 다문화 이해 증진 / Enhance Multicultural Understanding

다양한 나라와 문화를 탐구함으로써 학생들은

세상에 대한 이해를 높입니다.

Students explore new countries

and cultures, and thorough these

lessons they become curious learners

who gain a better understanding

of the world.

7. 과학적 사고 촉진 Foster Scientific Thinking

학생들은 실험을 통해 간단한 과학 개념을 배우고, 가 설을 세우고 결론을 도출합니다.

Featuring many experiences, students learn simple scientific concepts and apply them in class to come up with hypothesis and conclusions once the experience is over.

8. 청취 및 이해력 향상 Improve Listening and Comprehension

학생들은 진 authentic 영어 자료를 시청하고, 질문에 답하여 청취 능력을 연습합니다.

To improve the student’s listening comprehension skills, not only do they watch authentic English

material, but they also practice their comprehension skills as they have to answer questions about the

TV show.
